Camera

MOBOTIX cameras have a 50 mA (milliamp) switch output which runs from the 9-pin RS232 connector and can switch a 12V or 24V relay to ground.

In addition, MOBOTIX cameras also contain a switch input via which a chain of contacts can be operated to ground.

The gate output can be set automatically via the event control, thereby triggering an external alarm or activating a lamp. It can also be switched via the MxControlCenter, via soft buttons in the camera or by phone via the touchtone interface. In addition, one of the LEDs on the camera can be switched to provide an optical display of the output status, for control purposes.

The gate input can trigger an event in the camera, starting the recording process by means of event-control or sending an e-mail with an image attached. Used in conjunction with a week time control function, the device can also be enabled via a key-operated switch which is scanned via the switch input.
