Mechanical process piping in the powerhouse includes utility water connections from the high pressure (560psi) penstock line converted to low pressure for restroom facilities and plant wash down water. The powerhouse includes a full HVAC system utilizing warm air from the generator as a source of heat for return air as well as fresh air intake louvers on the outside of the building. Electrical includes 6.5MW generator and switchgear with step-up transformer and intertie to 25kV transmission line. 25kV and fiber optic lines up the 8500’ penstock route to intake structure control room. Back-up station service generator and ATS. SCADA and power are controlled from the power house control room.
